Dog Friendly Winter Activities in Sydney

With cold weather in full swing, sometimes finding the right activity to do with your pooch can be a bit of a challenge. Don't worry we've got you covered! Back by popular demand, this time we are covering Sydney's best dog friendly spots for you to visit this winter. Whether you're a local or heading up to Sydney to enjoy some more pleasant weather during the winter holidays, we've rounded up a list of cafes, activities and more for you and your pooch to enjoy together!

The Grounds of Alexandria | cafe

A cult favourite brunch and dinner spot in Sydney, The Grounds of Alexandria makes part of a perfect day out with your pup. Dogs are enthusiastically welcomed in all of their outdoor spaces as well as their newly opened The Potting Shed, a lush outdoor eating experience. Currently, The Grounds is exhibiting an Alice in Wonderland themed installation that you and your furry friend can also explore.

JINDABYNE | alpine town

While ski resorts in the Snowy Mountains aren't dog friendly, your pup can still enjoy a snowy adventure in Jindabyne, an alpine town just on the edge of the Snowy Mountains. The perfect winter activity, your pooch is sure to enjoy playing in the snow as well as exploring the many scenic lakes and parks as well as dog friendly cafes in the area. For accomodation, we recommend looking at East Lake Travellers Lodge, Pender Lea Chalets and Tinkersfield which also has a Doggy Daycare where you can leave your pooch while you ski.

VINO PAW TOURS | winery tours

Hunter Valley

Wine and pooches are perhaps our favourite pairing and Vino Paw Tours make  exploring dog friendly wineries just that bit easier. Enjoy private tours of wineries in the Hunter Valley and travel in a mini bus fit with doggy car seats and seatbelts. A great weekend activity to enjoy with friends, family and fur babies, of course.
